Lara, the multidisciplinary artist behind Trouble & Strife, creates detailed artworks inspired by the natural world from her garden studio in Halswell, Christchurch. Lara uses a variety of materials to make her mixed media drawings, including watercolour, ink, gouache, acrylic pens, coloured pencil and alcohol inks. She also loves to revitalise unwanted ceramics, such as plates, teapots, vases and cups. Lara is passionate about connecting with people through her art and this is one of the most rewarding parts of being creative.
