Georgette Thompson is a realist wildlife painter based in Ōtautahi, Christchurch. She describes her works as realist with a surreal twist. Georgette dreams up what mischief our native birds might get up to when us humans aren’t watching. Her meticulously painted, playful depictions of native birds are bursting with Kiwi pride with a good dash of humour! Georgette donates to local wildlife charities from the sales of her greeting cards, to date she has donated $8,500 to wildlife hospitals across New Zealand/Australia.
