Mima is a harakeke weaver with more than 20 years weaving experience. she first learnt to weave in Golden Bay , from local weavers using Titanga Māori traditions . she continues to weave and explore new pieces, developing a recognisable style of basketry. she loves creating functional eye catching pieces, her speciality is using colours to highlight the weave. her baskets are made for everyday use , special occasions , gifts or a standout art piece in any room.
